Warehouse 1.1 beta

3 comments on 225 words

I’ve held on to Warehouse 1.1 for way too long, so I’m going ahead and releasing it. Keep in mind that I consider this BETA quality. So, if you don’t want to take a chance, please keep away for a good 1.1.1 release. This is mainly for the folks interested in possibly extending Warehouse.

The biggest change is the addition of hooks and plugins to add extensibility to Warehouse. They’re still largely undocumented (though there are samples included), but feel free to ask questions in the Warehouse forum. My main goal is to get the features that you guys want before I put a stamp of approval on it. So, please don’t spend too much time writing official plugins/hooks quite yet until everyone’s satisfied with what they can do. It’s very important to me that I don’t have to make some change to the plugin system at a later date that would cause breakage with existing plugins.

We’ve received a lot of excellent feedback that still has yet to make it into the release branch of Warehouse. It’s coming, I just wanted to get this release out so you guys can try your hands at the new plugin system. As always, you can find the latest version of Warehouse in your forum account profile.

No prob, please do report if you have issues. There is one obvious bug dealing with hooks that’ll be fixed this weekend. And, I’ll have a proper post explaining the changes once I’m ready to recommend the upgrade for everyone.

After upgrading I can’t add new members, the new member form appears but the save button does nothing.
