Small Lighthouse Update

2 comments on 161 words

We’ve added some nice features, fixed some bugs, and implemented the new payment system. We’re also working on a good way to communicate these changes, so leave comments if you have ideas.

We’re planning on doing regular newsletters for now, since there are a lot fewer subscribers to the blog’s feed than there are Lighthouse users. You can of course watch the public tickets we resolve to see the new stuff. Our first newsletter (due out this week) will go over the changes in more detail.

Also, if you’re on a paid plan and haven’t set up a payment subscription yet, please do so now. I’ve been getting some questions on implementing a billing system, so I’ll write up how we’re doing things now, along with any pros and cons.

Twitter perhaps? Something that concats the first X characters and inserts a link that gets posted to twitter might be a cool thing. Could be expanded for other tracking clients.

I was counting on the fact that most twitterers are probably familiar with subscribing to feeds. But, maybe Twitter could be part of something bigger. “I don’t just use lighthouse, I’m friends with Lighthouse!”
