What happened to the launch?

6 comments on 182 words

I didn’t give a specific date last weekend because I was still waiting on the keys to our new EngineYard slices. They had some technical issues that delayed it for several days. I’m told it’ll happen this weekend. I’m planning on flipping the switch Sunday night/Monday morning. I’ll post more in here, as well as an announcement in Lighthouse itself, when it’s time.

Also, David announced that Rails is moving to Github and Lighthouse. That was the catalyst for the big EY cluster move. It just happened to coincide with the big redesign. We held off with the redesign a bit so we could do both at the same time. Stay tuned.

I also added a few more OSS accounts over the week: The Ruby Mendicant project, Lovd By Less, and OneBody. We’ll have a formal OSS plan soon. Our next major sprint after the redesign stuff will be solely focused on open source projects.

I’m working on setting a realistic schedule for deployment with the EY guys. The slices are ready and I’m hoping for launch tomorrow morning. More once we’re sure we can meet it this time…
